Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disapointing!! I have been making jams and jellies for decades and have never been so disappointed in the liquid pectin. I had never used the liquid pectin and it was advertising as easier to use, so I thought I would try it. I followed the grape jelly recipe exactly but my jelly did not set up. After 3 days I cooked the jelly again adding another package of liquid pectin. It still did not set up and was very sweet. I used powdered Sure-Jell for my other jams and everything set up fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Liquid pectin I have used the liquid pectin for years, easy to use and no problems.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No instructions!! I am new to canning! I have used regular and instant pectin before. Thought I would try the liquid this time. There are no instructions on or in my box! The outside of the box says what I need... But nowhere does it tell be about how to cook the berries and at what point to add the pectin. Luckily someone shared in a review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Liquid pectin vs Powder Pectin Uses I have used Ball Liquid pectin for years for my jams and jellies. I also use powder pectin. The major cause for failure to jel with the different pectins is when you add the pectin to your product. With the liquid pectin you add the pectin AFTER you cook (boil) your fruit and sugar. With the powder pectin you add the pectin to the fruit before boiling the product and then you add the sugar. If you read the instructions for the different pectins you will have no problem in having you product jel. Hope this helps those with problems in the future.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed My jam did not set. I have been making jam for over 40 years and I have never had a problem, until I used this pectin

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I made two batches of apricot jam with Ball-Realfruit Liquid Pectin and both batches set quickly and turned out beautifully. I made a batch of blueberry jam with powdered pectin and am still waiting for the jam to set. I know it will, but I am very pleased with the liquid pectin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from never had a problem I'm completely confused by these reviews, but all I can say is, you are not using the instructions. All pectin types work differently and you must use the instructions and amounts provided... this is chemistry... not lego's. I've had flawless results from all Ball pectins using them as directed and the liquid happens to be a favorite. Beautiful

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Although I did not purchase this product to use in cooking I am hoping it will help me. I suffer with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and in one of the many articles I have read on the subject one doctor suggested liquid pectin helping this condition. I only started and I am trying 1 tablespoon in water. I hope it helps. I will let you know.
