Grape Jelly Recipe - Jam Maker

Preserving Method: Water Bath Canning

  1. MEASURE 3 cups grape juice in a 4-cup or larger liquid measuring cup. Gradually whisk pectin into juice until fully incorporated. (Pectin will not be completely dissolved at this time.) Pour juice mixture into the clean Pot fitted with the Stirrer. Add butter/margarine to help reduce foaming.
  2. PRESS jelly button – the cook time will automatically default to 25 minutes. Press enter.
  3. WAIT 4 minutes for appliance to sound 4 short beeps indicating that it is time to add sugar. Add sugar gradually while Stirrer continues running.
  4. THE APPLIANCE will continue to automatically stir your ingredients while it cooks. Stay within earshot of the Jam & Jelly Maker, the appliance will beep again at the end of the process signaling jelly cooking is complete. Press cancel and unplug the appliance.
  5. REMOVE Stirrer using a pot holder. Skim foam, if necessary, from top of jelly.
  6. PRESERVE the homemade grape jelly immediately, using 1 of the 3 ways listed here

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy! I bought the automatic jam & jelly maker last week. Today I finally made the Grape Jelly. It was so easy! I wish I had this years ago. One gal said to buy two machines if you make a lot of jelly so you don't have to wait 30 min for the machine to cool off. I used my fresh grape juice from my grapes I grew. It should work? Why not! Very cool!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can Other Juices Be Used? This recipe seems very easy for a newbie like me and I'm looking forward to trying it! I wonder if it would be possible to make it with other types of store bought fruit juice?
