Kerr® Regular Mouth Pint 16 oz. Glass Mason Jars with lids and bands, 12 count is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Won't hold their seal. I bought these Kerr mason jars on a great sale at Walmart. I have been pressure and water bath canning for over 38 years... I pressure canned tomato puree. After processing, I removed them from the canner. After cooling overnight, I was pleased that every jar had sealed. I store my canning in my insulated, unheated, cool garage. Two days after storing the jars, I grabbed one to use for dinner, only to find the jar was no longer sealed. I proceeded to check every other jar, to find every one of them had lost their seal! Because the jars were very cool, I brought them all inside, dumped the contents into a dutch oven, heated to boiling, poured them into "Ball" brand mason pints, and reprocessed in the pressure canner. I'm happy to say that the Ball mason jars have remained sealed since processing. I've checked the Kerr jars that wouldn't hold their seal and noticed that they seemed a slightly roughened around the top of the jar. Perhaps this is why they won't hold their seal... Turned out to not be such a great deal after all. Not happy with this purchase...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from They break easily. I've always used Ball jars for canning. They almost never broke in the water bath for me. Then last year I had four new Ball jars break in the water, and this year 6 more new ones broke- some pints and some quarts. The smaller jelly size seem fine. I think they are making the pint and quart ones differently now. My old ones are fine, but I no longer trust the new ones.
