Preserving Method: Dehydrating

  1. TRIM ends off onions. Peel off paper shell. Cut into 1/4-inch thick slices.
  2. DRY at 145°F until crisp, according to dehydrator directions.
  3. STORE in glass preserving or plastic jars, plastic food storage bags or vacuum package. Label.

Quick Tip: Large, pungent, white varieties dry best.
