Fresh Preserving Discussion Boards

Since I buy most of my jars in lots at auctions or flea markets, I thought talk of recycling jars might fit in this "green" forum: What different brands of jars have you used over the years?

Aside from Ball and Kerr Mason jars, my mom gave me a bunch of Atlas, Crown, and Presto jars. My neighbor gave me a box of "Mom's Mason" jars. Other brands I've picked up include Long-Life, Knox, Golden Harvest, Brockway, and Magic Mason (I wish it would magically do my canning for me! LOL).

Any one else have any other brands of jars they've seen?

I can never pass up a box of jars, even if some are chipped; they have so many uses: storing dry beans, tea bags, etc.

I have so many canning jars that I don't ever need anymore. Most are Ball and a very few are harvest something or other. I forget. I could get up and go look but I am sitting down for the first time today. Happy can finding, Ann
