I'm a Martha Stewart wanna-be but unfortunately, creative as a rock. Last year, I made homemade candy and used the ball jars. I tried attaching pretty fabric and christmas ribbon with a hot glue gun and ended up with glue everywhere, burnt fingers, not to mention...the glue was so hot it melted the ribbons.

Sometimes just a piece of cloth and a ribbon tied in a bow is safer.

Cut your 6" circle of fabric or crepe paper and place over entire top of jar then tie with a ribbon or for a country look a piece of raffia. Tuck in artificial greens or flowers if needed.
