 Post subject: Sweet hot mustard

For years i have made homemade sweet hot mustard.Everyone that trys it wants me to sell it.I cannot find anything online to tell me how to go about canning my mustard.I was told the canning process will ruin the taste and instead off canning it sell it so it has to be in the fridge (it wont be good for long this way) i think canning it would be the best. I dont know or have a CLUE of were to start and what to do......any help would be great...thanks

Your homemade mustard recipe has not been tested by food scientists as a safe and stable product for canning, so you would/should not attempt to do it. Refrigerate only and even that would have to be done under strict standards by your local health standards.

If you want to learn about canning foods, acquire a current copy of the Ball Blue Book and read it from cover to cover. Also visit the National Center for Home Food Preservation.
