 Post subject: canning potatoes

I am wondering if the receipes for canning potatoes are only for white potatoes or if red and yellow potatoes can be canned the same way.

Location: Southern California USA
Red and Yellow are included in the waxed potato varieties that are good for canning. Russet potatoes are not since they tend to turn to mush.
