Canned Nerd or anyone else who would know:

Can I reuse canning lids that haven't been processed? I had used some with the bands for beans, pasta, etc in the cupboard and some that were in the fridge for refrigerator pickles.

If not, I'll just keep them seperated from the "good" unused ones and just use them for storage of dry goods.

Thanks!

If there is no indentation in the seal they should work fine, but I would make sure they are completely clean since any dried food residue could cause problems.

Personally I would not use lids that I've been using for something else since I have plenty of fresh ones in a box.

I wouldn't trust it. Lids are only a dollar at the store, and all that work I'd hate to see them not seal!
