I am about to make the Brandied Mincemeat recipe in the newest Ball Blue Book. I am a bit confused when the recipe calls for ground and seeded oranges and ground and seeded lemons. What does one use to grind an orange or lemon up? Is it a food processor, blender or something else? I've never heard of this. Any help would be appreciated.

A Food Grinder gives you the best results. You may know it as a "meat grinder". You can use a food processor but you won't get consistent size pieces.

Some people have them as attachments to their Kitchen Aid machines or similar, which is what mine is and I use it for making relishes.

Thanks. That is a big help. I will probably just invest in the attachment for the Kitchen Aid since I already have the main unit.
