Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better flavor from fruit jams with this Since this product came out it is the only thing I use for jams. It really gives so much more fruit flavor. I usually do the low-sugar version, it makes a very pretty jam. I have been experimenting with adding things to bump up the flavor, such as a little lemon juice or vanilla or a spoonful of creme de cassis.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked great for no sugar jam, but dextrose? I finally caved and just used this last night before my garden bell peppers went bad. I used approximately what the label indicated for no sugar added (sweetened with liquid splenda zero and allulose). The sample I left out of the canner tasted wonderful and gelled great. My concern is that the serving size of 1/4 tsp makes it difficult to tell how many grams of carbohydrates I added to the total batch. Nutrition labels can list zero carbs if the count is less than .5 grams, but I'd like a carb count on the entire 3 Tablespoon box-substitution quantity, or the fraction of carbs in each serving. I'm on a very low carb diet and the first ingredient is dextrose (essentially sugar). Unless I can get an accurate count, I may go with something like liquid certo next time I'm using sweeteners to make no sugar added preserves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressed! I am on a low carb diet and was happy to see a low-to-no-sugar pectin. We followed the instructions to make a low-sugar strawberry and a low-sugar strawberry jalapeno jam (both using honey and stevia to sweeten in addition to the pectin) and they came out wonderfully! Really hard to believe it's low sugar. They jelled up perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from pectin with calcium really works good I can't stand that you don't have any recipes for NO sugar jam. It is so easy, ad a little apple cider vinegar to the cut fruit before cooking, then blend the cooked fruit and peppers. Sprinkle your new “no-sugar” pectin in the top of the cooked fruit to keep it from clotting up. Just like gellitan. Cook it in, and can the fruit and pepper mix. I just want to know how many table-spoons of no sugar pectin is needed per pint. I am still exerimenting to see how much is needed for a gallon of apples plums tomatos and peppers. One table-spoon of the pectin per cup seems like more than is needed. Maybe half that much. Also a recipe' with hot peppers and sweet fruit should have some kind of spice like cinimon or cloves in it that would bring the taste together. I plum forgot to do that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LESS SUGAR, BETTER TASTE My husband was a diabetic so I had to look for ways to reduce his carbs. I can all our jellies and jams because the low-no sugar products you can buy do not have the same taste. I have been using this product for several years. (I think I bought the first box that was put on the shelves.) Even thought my husband has passed, I still use this product because it is healthier AND the taste of the fruit is much better without all the sugar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best! I am getting ready to can peach, raspberry and blackcap (wild black raspberry) jams. I won't use any other kind but the Ball Lower Sugar version.. My jams always set well and the fruit flavors really come out when you use less sugar. Unfortunately, like others, I have not been able to find it in stores around here, so I have had to order online from this site. The shipping is pricey, but the product is worth it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent product I've been using another brand of pectin and everytime the jelly would pass the sheeting rest but failed to set after water bath. Then I tried Ball Low No Sugar and bingo, homerun, touch down, luv set match game ! I searched all last year after I ran out, so I ordered online. I am a happy camper once again knowing I can make jelly without failure WITH THE ADDED BONUS of low sugar.
