Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't get them I can see in the picture that this is the kind I like best, but the link to Walmart didn't connect me with the product (plastic canning jar lids).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like them I got 4 of the large and 4 small years ago. Really like them when I put a jar of pickles in the ice box, all I have to do is put the little white lid on with a pretty little sticker on it of what it is and good to go. I like the one caps for the ice box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is new Ball Plastic Cap right out of the box This is new Ball Plastic Cap right out of the box. Just saying. I only use these for dry or refrigerator items because they leak. These are labeled "cap" not "lid". If you don't want it to leak, you have to use a lid.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please Fix the Leaking! As others have noted, these caps are not liquid tight. Why on earth would Ball make a plastic cap for mason jars, and post photos of them covering jars full of all manner of LIQUID CONTENTS, and then sell them to the masses when they obviously pose a leaky mess to every buyer? This is the 21st century. There are a bazillion plastic caps in the world that seal well enough so that a jar's contents don't leak. Surely if anyone is capable of making a leak-proof cap, it ought to be Ball, no? The ring seals I've seen on Amazon, etc. that can be added to these lids to make them leak-proof probably work, but yeesh, one of the great advantages to the plastic caps was that they are a single unit - not a 2-piece band and lid (which eventually rust or the coating deteriorates and they cannot be reused reliably). Now I have to buy another part for my plastic caps to make them work right? This puts me right back to the metal bands & lids, which have a number of disadvantages. Come on, why wouldn't Ball just shape up their plastic lid design and remedy this very obvious problem by improving the piece itself, rather than adding another part to it? I have to say, there is something pretty off-putting about having to buy an extra product to fix the manufacturer's lame design flaw in the first product that I already paid for (with the crazy notion that it would work properly). I was thrilled when I first bought these lids because I thought I was getting leak-proof portability and one-piece cap simplicity, but actually, I got neither. They're okay for dry ingredients, but that's about it. Sorry to rant, but this has been bugging me for a long time. In fact, I visited the Ball site for the sole purpose of finding out whether they had corrected their cap flaw, and was pretty disappointed to see they have not.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Secret to plastic lids sealing I have used these lids for years. Yes, they leak if the jar and lids are different temperature since glass and plastic expand and contract at different rates. If you store liquids, then twist tight and refrigerate. When everything is cold, they will not leak if you are careful.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from OK for dry but doesn't seal for liquids The lids look nice but don't seal properly against the rim of the jar. The need to purchase additional silicone rings to ensure a seal makes the total package pretty pricey. Just had hot pepper sauce leak all over someone's hands this last weekend when the picked up the jar to look at the contents. Disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these Lids I bought a box of these lids the first time I saw them. I use them for any jar I open and use them instead of the metal bands. No rust or corrosion ever. I am purchasing more, because I use jars for storing all kinds of things.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from They do not seal!!! Beware!!! These lids do not seal properly. When trying to shake the contents the sprays all over the place. I tried with multilple lids and the same happened with every lid.
