Preserving Method: Freezing

1. Process watermelon, in batches, in a blender until liquified. Pour into a 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Stir in syrup and lime juice.

2. Freeze 3 hours or until ice crystals form, stirring every 30 minutes.

3. Place a 2-qt. container with a tight-fitting lid in freezer for 10 minutes. Transfer granita to chilled container. Store in freezer. Let stand in refrigerator 15 minutes before serving.
